People at home this afternoon were grieving like someone died. They just informed me that our TFC subscription was cut although in the screen it says no signal but we concluded that these guys working with TFC in Kuwait were running some extra kick to their business or personal business(whatever).
My uncle phoned their servicing branch and referred everything about the connection and etc. but all they can help was to come to our home and do some “servicing” for 5kd. But before throwing those hard earned dinars, we first checked all the cables, sat dish and everything about the connection but none was altered. People at home said it just went out as they were watching their ”favorite” programs. We know these connections can be controlled by them. It is sad to think that they are sacrificing their reputation just for 5 bucks but I think 5 dinars for at least “a thousand subscribers?” here in Kuwait, hmmm i think it worth it.
Ok, we are there already, they need to do some servicing to earn some but is very unethical to just cut those services right away in order to extract few pennies from customers. They have spoiled the good laughter and tears of these followers(excluding me) from watching those soaps and those songs of Willie Revillame(which is painful to my ears, am I alone with this? but in fairness they got good lyrics).
Anyways, thank you TFC, you have given us the chance to try Pinoy TV, as I have heard they got kick ass programs and they got more pinoy look especially with their talents. I can’t wait to watch GMA again especially Bubble Gang.

Hi. I used to work for The Filipino Channel before and I am quite familiar how it works . Your statement ” They just informed me that our TFC subscription was cut although in the screen it says no signal ” clearly says that you lost signal due to misallignment of the dish (probabaly because of the strong winds we are encountering nowadays). If your TFC subscription is just new ( not yet three month old) service warranty should be free, unless deemed otherwise by your installer / dealer that mis-allignment was because of natural occurences (sandstorm or strong winds). The 5kd they were asking you is for alignment service charge, I’d like to believe. It takes more than altering the cables, etc. But i agree with you, 5kd is way too high for aligning the dish in its proper azimuth and elevation. (but this amount was decided, not by ABS CBN global but our local dealer here). I am sure they wouldn’t do that on purpose – like climbing all the way to your rooftop and misalign the dish? I am quite sure that ABS CBN Global and its dealers will not cut your service just to extract some hard earned dinars for your pocket.
Happy Viewing. I hope I helped clear some of your thoughts.

Yeah i got you, but wasn’t it a coincidence that the date the signal went out coincides with the date last year we called them for a service? One person told us that signals can be controlled by the distributors and I believe he is telling the truth.
